Poetry Dataset

Hundreds of poems written by the imaginary members of the academy have been manually transcribed and made available as plain text accompained by a JPG facsimile.

Notes on transcriptions

We have tried to find a compromise between a purely diplomatic transcription and modern readability of the text. The following words and characters have been changed to modern Italian spelling:

We have kept double consonants in the original spelling, such as "essempi". Likewise original spellings with a single consonant have not been doubled.
